Scott Pape wrote what I consider an excellent book a decade or so ago called – The Barefoot Investor. I highly suggest a download and read it now, on the flight over, again once in Australia and definitely before you make any financial investments.

The book covers the ASX, mortgages and other areas that I won’t be covering. It dives into the sneaky methods banks use to debt trap you, the evil side of paying interest and why Australians have the biggest houses and garages in the world to hoard all their ‘stuff’.
